maxresdefault
Orlando brings to mind images of sunshine and family fun, but as Halloween rolls around each year, things take a turn for the ghoulish. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando offers up 30 nights of mayhem and madness for those who like thrills and chills. If you prefer your Halloween events in Orlando FL to be a bit more family friendly, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom offers up fun, fantasy and lots of sweet treats.

For 25 years, Universal Orlando Resort has been hosting Halloween Horror Nights, which has become the nation’s premier Halloween event. On select nights from September 18 through November 1, visitors can scare themselves silly at nine terrifying houses, five scare zones, and two outrageous shows over thirty nights. On these frightful nights, the streets of the theme park are filled with mutants, monsters, horror-movie moments, and scares you can only imagine. Because of the intensity, these events aren’t recommended for children under 13.

If Casper the Friendly Ghost is more your speed, turn instead to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. On select nights from September 15 through November 1, visitors of all ages can enjoy a fun trick-or-treat experience throughout the park. Don your favorite costumes and don’t be surprised if you see some of your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their own Halloween costumes. Other forms of eerie entertainment take place, including special Halloween parades, performances, and fireworks, offering up lots of fiendish fun.

Both of these events require separate admission tickets so if you’re looking for thrilling or downright scary Halloween events in Orlando FL this year, start making your plans. No matter your fright level, you’ll find the perfect party at one of Central Florida’s great theme parks. If you’re coming from out of town and want to book rooms in a resort that offers up a friendly, relaxing spot to recover from all of those thrills, turn to Fantasy World Resorts, where families can enjoy a wealth of on-site amenities and attractions, all just a short distance from the many theme parks and more in Orlando.
