2016 Halloween Events in Orlando

2016 Halloween Events in Orlando
Halloween is a holiday that both young and old enjoy. Costumes, parties, sweet treats and more appeal to all ages, and the thrill of a good scare can also be fun. If you’re planning to spend Halloween in Orlando this year, there are lots of events going on throughout the city and at the big theme parks. Whether you’re looking for something festive, rather than frightful, or something to scare your socks off, Disney World and Universal Studios are ideal places to spend All Hallows’ Eve!

Little kids love the chance to dress up in costumes and get candy, but they don’t always like some of the scarier elements of Halloween. If you prefer your Halloween to be special rather than scary, head to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Park. This special event runs on select nights from Sep. 2 – Oct. 31, 2016.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in costumes and even meet-and-greet Disney characters who have also dressed up in Halloween costumes. There will be trick-or-treating, as well as other entertainment unique to the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Headless Horseman leads off Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, which takes place twice a night, and that is followed by HalloWishes, a spectacular green and orange fireworks display that includes a number of Disney villains.

If your children are older or you’re of a sturdier disposition, see how much of a scare you can stand at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 26. On select nights from Sep. 16 – Oct. 31, 2016, the streets of the park are taken over by creepy, spooky, and downright hideous monsters, mutants, and maniacs.

There are a whopping eight haunted houses to test your nerve, not to mention the horrors that lurk out there on the streets, often when you least expect them. Visitors also enjoy a variety of live entertainment along with the park’s rides and attractions. Separate admission is required for the Halloween Horror Nights.

These are just two of the ways to enjoy Halloween in Orlando this year. Purchase your tickets today. If you dare!
