Giddy Up! Two National Rodeos Coming Near Kissimmee Resort
In addition to being the world’s most popular tourist destination, Florida has the longest history of ranching than any state in the United States. The occupational skills of the working cowboy will be showcased at two national rodeos, coming soon to venues near our Kissimmee resort.
The 134th Silver Spurs Rodeo is the largest sanctioned rodeo east of the Mississippi. Watch the thrilling bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding and barrel racing. Laugh at the rodeo clowns. Rich with tradition, this event’s history goes back to the 1940s when it was first staged to sell war bonds.
The event is held at the indoor Silver Spurs Arena, Feb. 20-22, 2015. Admission is $15 for adults; children 10 and younger are free. Price includes admission to the Osceola County Fair.
The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo is a tournament-style event that determines national circuit champions. The competition is challenging for the athletes and entertaining for the fans.
In addition to the competitions, the scheduled events include a cattle drive, Cowboy Crisis Fund Fashion Show, Florida Heritage BBQ Classic Big Pig Bash, a golf tournament, and the finale of the RAM Champions Parade. This premier rodeo event is March 25-28, 2015, at the Silver Spurs Arena. Ticket prices vary depending on which events you select.
