Central Florida has become a dining destination, with a fantastic range of restaurants opening regularly throughout the area. Anyone staying this year at one of the Fantasy World Kissimmee vacation villas will have some new restaurants to look forward to, as well as plenty of old favorites. There’s something to please every palate and for a variety of age groups.

If you’re looking for a combination restaurant and nightclub, The Edison could be just the place for you. Expected to open in spring 2017 at Disney Springs, it is likely to have a steampunk vibe similar to its sister venue in Los Angeles. Go for dinner, stay for drinks and a night of great entertainment.

Chef Brandon McGlamery is opening his third restaurant, Luke’s Kitchen & Bar. Located in Maitland at 640 S. Orlando Ave., the focus here is on American cuisine and cocktails. You can get a variety of soups and sandwiches, but you’ll also find oysters, a raw bar, and entrees cooked on a rotisserie and over an open fire.

Florida is home to some great seafood and even in Central Florida, you’re never far away from the catch of the day. Paddlefish is an iconic Disney Springs restaurant that has been getting a revamp. The new look includes outdoor seating, a more upscale nautical theme, and most importantly, new dishes like lobster guacamole and a build-your-own lobster boil. Classics like lobster corn dogs, Florida stone crab, and Alaska king and queen crab will remain on the menu.

The Ravenous Pig of Winter Park will be opening up a sister venue at Disney Springs called The Polite Pig. Featuring an array of smoked and grilled items, they’ll also be serving locally-brewed Cask & Larder beer.
