Epcot Food and Wine Festival

For 23 years now, foodies have been making the trip to Epcot for the annual Food and Wine Festival. No matter how often you go, there’s always something to look forward to trying. The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is no different. As well as long-time favorites, there are plenty of new additions to keep even the most experienced guest happy to have made the trip once again.

This year’s festival runs from August 30th through November 12th and features more than 30 global marketplaces to sample and savor. Before you start, make sure you visit the Festival Welcome Center where you can pick up a wealth of tips and information to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Plus, the Welcome Center is home to the Intermission Café, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Experience, wine and beverage seminars, books signings, and much more.

For those who can’t start their day without a java jolt, check out this year’s Festival Center Stage presented by Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company®. Not only will you get to learn about coffee beans, but you’ll also learn some tips on how to brew the best cup of joe every time. There’s also the chance to purchase bags of the special Disney Coffee Collection.

You can’t host a great dinner party without great beverage pairings. There will be a special seminar held every Friday through Sunday at 2:30 at the Festival Center Stage. For just $25, you will enjoy a fun and informative presentation from chefs and beverage experts who will create an enticing duo of food and drink that the audience will get to sample.

Everyone loves brunch and there’s more reason to love it this year with Sunday Brunch with the Chef. Over two hours, some of the big names in the industry will be doing a demo, serving a plated brunch with a sparkling wine toast, and then answering the audience’s questions. Among the names involved are: Richard Blais, Carla Hall, Jamie Deen, Tiffani Thiessen, Masaharu Morimoto, Art Smith and Geoffrey Zakarian. There’s also a meet-and-greet photo opportunity after the event. This takes place at the World ShowPlace Events Pavilion on select Sundays throughout the festival.

This is still a family event, so there are plenty of activities for the kids. One such event is Remy’s Ratatouille Hide ‘n’ Squeak Scavenger Hunt. Kids will get to take part in a Ratatouille-inspired savory scavenger hunt around the festival as they search for Remy who is hiding in all new locations.

These are just a few of this year’s new highlights at the 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. There will be new dishes to try, new chefs to meet, and so much more. You’ll come away with plenty of recipes to try and special drinks to make, and even some of the ingredients to help you keep the memories alive.
