October 19-20, Celebration Town Center kicks off the 12th annual Oktoberfest. This family friendly event lets you sit back, relax and enjoy the lakeview, while also enjoying food, great music, and plenty of fun events. On the 19th, the German inspiration for the festivities is celebrated with music from Dan Witucki & Heimatland Musikanten, along with yodelling contests and more. On the 20th, America’s Got Talent-finalist Carly Jo Jackson is the opening act, followed by sets from Central Florida’s own Lovestruck Robot. Plus, you can watch leaves dropping every evening at 7, 8, and 9 pm.

There’s plenty of corn grown in Central Florida, so don’t miss the chance to check out the Partin Ranch Corn Maze. The big attraction is the five-acre maze, but there is a smaller one for the kids, as well as kiddy zip-lines, and a chance for a ride on a combine harvester as well as a hayride. Plus, take aim with the corn cannon and a few games of corn hole. The corn maze opens on October 13 and operates on select days through to November 4.

We may not get to see the Space Shuttle lifting off anymore these days, but the Kennedy Space Center still sends plenty of rockets up into outer space. Although dates have to be determined and can change, the Space Center is planning a number of launches in October and November. You can sign up for email alerts in order to get tickets to one of these truly spectacular events.

Finally, there’s always the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival taking place through November 12. This event offers visitors a chance to taste food and drinks from around the world, as well as enjoy a huge selection of concerts, demonstrations and so much more.
