July Fourth at Disney World

Visiting Disney World for the Fourth of July is a dream trip for many people. However, if you go, remember that this is often the busiest time of the year and parks do reach capacity. Plan on arriving early and staying for the whole day if you want to see the evening fireworks. You won’t be guaranteed a chance to return if the park has reached capacity, even with a dining reservation. Fortunately, the Fantasy World villas in Kissimmee FL have plenty of space and even full kitchens to help you prepare for a full day of Disney fun on the Fourth!

Perhaps one of the biggest patriotic thrills comes from Disney’s Celebrate America – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky. The Magic Kingdom fireworks extravaganza takes place July 4-5 at 9:15 pm.

A visit to any of the main Disney parks for the Fourth is the perfect time to take advantage of PhotoPasses. Flag down a PhotoPass photographer or take your own photos in front of the Liberty Bell in Liberty Square. Did you know it’s a replica cast from the very same mold of the original in Philadelphia? It was put in place in 1987 as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of the United States Constitution.

Another fun PhotoPass opportunity can be had with The Muppets and their Great Moments in American History. This special Magic Shot is near Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square on July 3-4, and it celebrates the comedic achievements of our fuzzy founding fathers.

Plus, on July 4th, you’ll find a number of PhotoPass photographers with special patriotic props to make your pictures perfect!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a thrilling place to be this Independence Day if you’re a Star Wars fan. Star Wars – A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show will take place at 9:30 pm. Along with fireworks, this immersive event includes state-of-the-art projection effects and stunning lighting and lasers as guests find themselves part of iconic scenes from the Star Wars saga, including a sequence from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Finally, there’s plenty to enjoy at Epcot this year. Throughout the day, you’ll find favorite Disney characters dressed up in patriotic costumes in the American Adventure Pavilion. The Voices of Liberty a cappella group will perform traditional Americana tunes as part of a 4th of July Concert, taking place on the America Gardens Theatre stage at 5:30, 6:45, and 8 pm. Finally, there’s the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth that will include a special fireworks finale filled with red, white and blue at 9 pm. The fireworks are in addition to the 26,000+ feet of lights that outline the Epcot World Showcase pavilions that are a part of the regular IllumiNations spectacular.

These are just some of the fun events taking place this July at the various Disney World parks. Book one of the fantastic Fantasy World villas in Kissimmee FL, and plan to make a full day of it at the parks. You can always rest and relax the next day at Fantasy World at their water park or enjoy the wealth of amenities, games, and more they have on offer year round.
