While many people choose to stay in one of the Fantasy World villas in Kissimmee for its proximity to the theme parks in Orlando, there is plenty to see and do in Kissimmee. From Fun Spot America to a wide variety of nature and wildlife tours, Kissimmee offers an array of local attractions for the whole family. Plus, Fantasy World has its own attractions on site, including a water park. So if you’re going to be visiting Kissimmee this March, here are a couple of specific events you won’t want to miss.
On Saturday, March 24, at 10 am, Florida Technical College will host its annual Kissimmee Spring Eggstravaganza. The festive fun takes place at the college, located at 3831 W Vine Street. Among the entertainment on hand will be an Easter basket raffle giveaway, a chance to take your picture with the Easter Bunny, live music, and much more. And of course there will be an Easter egg hunt!
When you combine BBQ and a birthday celebration, you know you’re going to have a good time! The annual Kowtown Festival, hosted by the city of Kissimmee, is celebrating the city’s 135th anniversary. The event, which starts at noon on Saturday, March 24, at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park, will feature the Kissimmee Valley Rib Rodeo, which is a sanctioned BBQ competition, so you know the food will be good. There will also be a hot dog eating contest, live performances, plenty of entertainment, and don’t forget the birthday cake!
So start your day with an Easter Eggstravaganza and finish it off with some mighty fine BBQ and birthday cake along the Kissimmee Lakefront Park, which is an attraction in its own right. When you book one of the villas in Kissimmee at Fantasy World, you’ll soon realize that there’s no shortage of things to see and do, right in beautiful Kissimmee.Tags: Kissimmee vacation, Orlando vacation resort, Orlando Vacation Villas, timeshare rentals in disney
