One of the great things about staying at a Kissimmee hotel with water park is that the kids can entertain themselves for hours in the pool while you have a chance to relax. Here are some pool games your youngsters can play in the pools at Fantasy World Resort:

• Submarine races. See who can hold their breath and swim the longest underwater. Also called mermaid or dolphin races.
• Shark in the pool. This is a water variation of the land game of tag. The shark is “it” and must tag others while they are in the water. Players may jump in and out of the water to avoid being tagged, but may only stay out of the water for a maximum of five seconds at a time.
• Popsicle. This is a variation of freeze tag. Play in shallow water where everyone can stand up. When someone is tagged by “it,” they must freeze and stand straight with their hands above their head (like a popsicle). To make it more challenging for “it,” players cannot be tagged while they are under water but if they swim past a “popsicle,” they can touch them to “unfreeze” them.
• Whirlpool. Form a circle and have everyone start moving around slowly in the same direction, then go faster and faster until a whirlpool is formed in the middle of the circle. Then they can take turns floating on the whirlpool.
