Stay in Kissimmee for Your Disney Vacation

Some people prefer to stay in the hotels and resorts that are part of the Disney complex, but those can be expensive and keep you insulated from seeing more that Central Florida has to offer. After all, you’re perfectly located to explore some of the beautiful parks, architecture, history, and beaches, as well as great shopping and dining found throughout the region. If you’d like to do more with your Disney vacation than just visit the parks, consider one of the villas in Kissimmee, such as Fantasy World. They’re an amusement park in their own right, offer a wealth of comfort and convenience, and are ideally located to explore all that Central Florida has to offer.

Thanks to the weather, plenty of people work in some outdoor adventures while they’re vacationing in the area. Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Cocoa Beach are approximately a 1.5 hour drive, which isn’t bad for a chance to experience the stunning white beaches and take in various local attractions. Closer to home, Kissimmee is considered the Gateway to the Everglades. Schedule an airboat ride for an exhilarating experience, or for something a little more lowkey but just as enjoyable, rent kayaks and canoes, and go fishing.

Another nearby attraction about 40 minutes away in Apopka that lets you explore nature, see wildlife, but also have fun relaxing in perfect waters is Wekiwa Springs State Park. Miles of trails can be explored on foot, bike or horseback, and canoes and kayaks are available on site. Just as fun are the emerald springs feeding the Wekiwa River and lush tropical hammocks. The springs are 72 degrees year-round, making for an ideal spot to simply relax and enjoy the natural scenery. It’s also a great spot for picnics. Locals have been visiting this spot for generations and have fond memories for life.

Kissimmee itself is full of activities if you want to stay closer to home. You can enjoy breathtaking hot-air balloon rides, go ziplining, visit stunning gardens, see beautiful animals at the zoos, and enjoy some rounds of mini-golf. Kissimmee also hosts hundreds of events throughout the year, ranging from classic cars to rodeos, plus festivals where you can take in local talent, try some delicious food, and simply enjoy a beautiful day.

Don’t forget dining in Kissimmee. As well as fabulous southern food traditions that shouldn’t be missed, you’ll find plenty of other influences, particularly Latin-American flavors. Best of all, there’s always fantastic seafood. Some of the favorite restaurants in Kissimmee include Sabor Brasil Brazilian food, Woodsby’s Countryside Cafe, Savion’s Place, Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ, and El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant.

One of the perks of staying in Kissimmee during your vacation is that you have a wealth of fun, right at your fingertips, without the same crazy crowds. Plus, when you stay at Fantasy World, you get spacious villas that sleep up to six and even include full kitchens, allowing you to take it easy on the wallet and the waistline and cook some meals yourself, which is also handy if you have picky eaters or those with special dietary requirements.

Yet Fantasy World is more than just somewhere to sleep and eat. The biggest perk of these villas in Kissimmee, apart from their excellent location, is the fact that the resort is an amusement park in its own right, with its own water park, crafts, treasure hunts, batting cages, mini golf, a playground, sports complex, and daily activities for all ages, from building a teddy bear to tie-dying t-shirts, to adult cash bingo inside the pool bar. These are just a few of the on-site attractions you’ll find at Fantasy World in Kissimmee. They also feature special package deals for some of your favorite theme parks, so if you’re planning a trip to Central Florida, book your vacation today at Fantasy World and open up a whole new world of fun and entertainment.
