What to Pack in Your Disney Bag

11665239_S
There’s so much to see and do at Disney World that most people get there early in the morning and stay until late in the evening. As a result, you’ll probably find yourself needing various items throughout the day. If you don’t plan on returning to your Kissimmee vacation resort during the day, it helps to pack a Disney bag with various essentials to get you through the day and save some money.

A backpack or a bag that can be worn across the body give you hands-free storage so you don’t feel weighed down and find yourself constantly juggling bags, kids, and rides. Plus, you can take your bag on Disney rides, so you don’t have to worry about what to do with it on all of the fun rides. The essentials of a good Disney bag include weather-related items, health-related items, food and drinks, and the various maps and tickets you’ll need in the park. You can then add additional items that will meet your family’s particular needs.

Florida is the Sunshine State, but it does rain on occasion. Fortunately, most rain showers are over quickly, but if the drizzle is sticking around, it helps to carry an umbrella or rain ponchos to keep you covered. Rain ponchos are particularly useful, as they take up less space and provide more protection from the rain than an umbrella. Don’t forget sunglasses, though, and during the warm months, you may want to include a water mister to help cool you off.

No matter what time of year you visit, it is important to use sun screen. Even during the winter months, don’t let faces get sunburned. Look for a high SPF and preferably one that can stand up to sweating during the warmer months. As part of your health packing, also include a small first-aid kit with Band-Aids, ibuprofen, anti-bacterial gel, and wet wipes. There are first-aid stations throughout the park, but it helps to have items easily at hand.

Although you’ll probably buy lunch at the park, you may get hungry and thirsty throughout the day. To save money, carry a water bottle and a few portable snacks like granola bars, nuts, or other items that don’t need to be refrigerated. There are water stations throughout the park where you can refill the water bottle throughout the day.

Of course, you’ll also want to have park maps, tickets, and any park-specific items easily at hand. In addition, you may want to include a few additional items such as electronic device chargers, autograph books and Sharpies, and small games or even bubbles to keep children entertained during waits for rides or special shows and parades. Think about the kinds of items your family is likely to need for a whole day out and pack accordingly.

A Kissimmee vacation resort, such as Fantasy World, provides lots of amenities, conveniences, and more to make your vacation a memorable stay. Take advantage of what they have to offer to help you easily pack a Disney bag so you can enjoy a full day in the Magic Kingdom.
